Ideally they are looking for somewhere fairly flat, sunny (North-facing) and accessible to the public. Absolutely Positively Wellingtonians Awards for Newtown Festival Organisers
The Awards were made to a group of the core Newtown Festival organisers past and present – James Coyle, Peter Frater, Martin Hanley and Anna Kemble Welch. The awards were presented by Mayor Celia Wade-Brown at the Council Meeting on 22 May.
Better Local Government?
A public meeting on Local Government Reform will be held 7.00pm Tuesday 5th June at Newtown Hall, 5 Daniell St. This has been called by Hon Annette King, Cr Paul Eagle and Cr Daran Ponter.

Adelaide Road Intersection Upgrade
The major upgrade of the intersection starts this week. This will involve road widening, the creation of an extra lanes and upgraded traffic lights.
