John Street Supermarket
As discussed at last nights Newtown Residents Association meeting, resource consent has been granted to Progressive Enterprises for the John St Supermarket complex (at the corner of John Street & Adelaide Road, Newtown). Attached here is a copy of the resource consent decision which also lists the conditions of the resource consent.

Federation of Wellington Progressive & Residents’ Associations : AGM
To be held on Monday 23 August 2010 at 7pm.
This will be followed by a presentation by Hon John Carter (Associate Minister of Local Govt) and Hon Peter Dunn (Minister of Revenue) and other invited guests. Will be the held at Johnsonville Uniting Church Hall, Dr Taylor Terrace, Johnsonville.

I’m looking for people to be part of a survey and focus group (Ethics Approval no. 17719), to gather information on life in the 1950s, as part of a Masters degree entitled the ‘Ecological Footprint of Wellingtonians in the 1950s’.

19th July 2010 : Special General Meeting
Next Meeting of the Newtown Residents Association will be a SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING and will be held on Monday 19 July 2010 at the Newtown Hall, Daniell St (Opposite Mediterranean Warehouse) at 7.30pm
The purpose of the Special General Meeting is to discuss and approve amendments to the constitution effectively giving a new Constitution for the Newtown Residents’ Assn Inc. The amendments are design to comply with Inland Revenue Department Donee status requirements and to update to reflect current practices.
