Liquour Control Bylaw – Liquor Ban

The “Proposal to amend the Liquor Control Bylaw” as prepared by Wellington City Council and applying to Newtown, Mt Cook and Berhampore and/or the wider city is open to submissions.

The Newtown Residents’ Assn at its last meeting agreed to support a liquor ban for Mt Cook, Newtown and Berhampore. This was on the understanding that a city-wide ban would be supported if that had the support of those communities.

Submissions close at 5pm on Wednesday (TOMORROW) 5 May 2010.

Further information available at http://wellington.govt.nz/haveyoursay/publicinput/2010-03-liquor.html

An online submission form at http://wellington.govt.nz/haveyoursay/publicinput/2010-03-liquor.php
